Whether you are meeting clients, prospective customer, a girl, a man, future mother-in-law, future father-in-law, or future employer you only have 4 seconds to make the first impression.
Have you ever had this feeling? There’s something I do not like about this guy; I feel like I know this lady; Fall in love on first sight. If you did, do not bother to think what is it that I like about him, or where did I meet her before. It was actually our unconscious mind working accessing your memory and comparing him/her with someone from your past.
When we first meet someone, our unconscious mind start the processed and send us the result through feeling. We cannot controlled that, though we can control not to show it, but we cannot tell our unconscious mind not to compare.
All that take only less than 4 seconds, then our conscious mind take over. That’s when we try to remember where we meet the guy, finding reason why we should say no to him, etc.
That’s why I said, we only have 4 seconds to make a good first impression and you cannot make a second first impression, it’s useless. So, it is important to prepare ourselves before meeting with clients, girl, man, mother-in-law or father-in-law for the first time.
What is it that our subconscious mind look for ? First, the energy – are we full of it or not? Second – our physical body (ladies : have you have your make up/not have your make up, depends on what the person you want to meet like; Man, have you shaved or not?).
So next time you are about to meet someone new to you, get yourself prepared. Make a good first impression. You only have 4 seconds, it might be the only chance in your life. My advice is that we prepared our physical body and our energy before we step out of our house. In case we meet someone standing right in front of our door.
